AboutMore Safari

Masinagudi Riverside / Moyar River Safari

Masinagudi Riverside Safari likely refers to various wildlife lodges and safari experiences situated along rivers of Moyar River, offering game drives and nature tours in scenic locations. Popular options include jeep safaris in Mudumalai Tiger Reserve, and luxury riverside lodges in South Masinagudi Reserve. These spots emphasize proximity to water for better wildlife sightings like Tigers, elephants, and Peacocks,Indian Gaur, Leopard etc.

Viboothimalai / Offroad Trek in masinagudi

Viboothimalai (also Vibhuti Malai or Vibhoothi Malai) is a challenging hilltop trek in the Mudumalai Tiger Reserve near Masinagudi, Tamil Nadu, leading to a Murugan temple with stunning Nilgiri valley views. Known as one of Masinagudi's hardest treks, it combines off-road jeep access and steep climbs through forests teeming with wildlife.

Full route covers 7 km road to Bokkapuram plus 3 km off-road/trek; expect rocky paths, elevation gain, and panoramic hill vistas—best in mornings for cooler temps and animal sightings. The temple, built by actor Mithun Chakraborty ~25 years ago, crowns the summit. We will be taking you on a off road jeep safari in masinagudi.

Mudumalai Elephant Feeding Experience

Discover the enchanting Theppakadu Elephant Camp in Mudumalai Tiger Reserve, where visitors witness rescued elephants enjoying their daily meals prepared by skilled mahouts. This iconic attraction, spotlighted in the Oscar-winning Elephant Whisperers, offers an intimate glimpse into elephant care amid lush forests near the Moyar River. Sessions occur daily from 8:30-9:00 AM and 5:30-6:00 PM; arrive early for tickets as the playful baby elephant is fed first with rice-jaggery balls, sugarcane, and coconuts. Mahouts mold cooked ragi, horse gram, and rice into uniform cakes using wooden molds, showcasing disciplined routines while birds, deer, and boars roam nearby.

Bamboo Forest Masinagudi Tour / Singara Road

Masinagudi's Bamboo Forest tours immerse visitors in the lush bamboo groves of Mudumalai Tiger Reserve, part of the Nilgiri Biosphere's tropical moist forests teeming with wildlife. These guided walks highlight towering bamboo clusters alongside rosewood and teak, ideal for nature lovers near the Moyar River. Start from Bamboo Banks resort or Masinagudi trails, trekking 4-8 km through dense bamboo thickets, riverbanks, and grasslands for sightings of gaurs, deer, peacocks, and birds like hornbills.
